Today I popped into town with Mum for a wander. Nothing much to buy - a bit skint from the recent outgoings, 3 new tyres for my car, 2 for the Mr's, new school shoes for Jake and the MOT for my car too. Just what you need right after Christmas. Anyway, still some bargains to be had.
If anyone is in the market for Christmas garlands, you know the fake Christmas tree type stuff (what do you call it!?!) anyway Wilkinsons in Poole is selling theirs off from £5 to 50p. I did think about it, but really couldn't think where I would put one - I love them wrapped around stair banisters but living in a bungalow we don't have one, so I passed. I did buy some stickers for 10p. Well they were actually a game where you write down the name of a celebrity then stick it on a paper hat for someone to try and guess who they are. I didn't really want the paper hats so threw them away, but I got 50 label stickers for my scrapbooking ;-)
I popped in one of the charity shops too, well it would be rude not too... anyway a nice dark brown pair of M&S petite cords jumped out at me.. £3.99.
We also got 2 sledge thingys for the boys. I know, I know, we've probably seen the last of the snow this year round these parts, but at least they will be ready for next year. Again if anyone else is interested, Early Learning were selling these off for £2.50.
As I was so cold Mum treated me to a new scarf, I finally got one of those infinity types that I've been eyeing up... I've tried taking a picture of me wearing it but it's not good... the light has gone... my hair has flopped.. the make-up went south a few hours ago... you know what I mean.. but here goes...
The colour is a soft pink, the mushroom kind I suppose - I love it and it's very, very warm. I won't normally wear it with a red hoody, but like I say it's cold!
One last thing... do you like those amazing chalkboard signs that seem to be everywhere at the moment, I must admit I love them, especially with some great phrase and fancy fonts. One of the many wonderful blogs I follow, The Polished Pebble has done a great post all about the work of Dana Tanamachi, well worth a look here.

Hi, hope you are feeling better. We missed you on Wednesday. The scalf looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna, hopefully see you next time.
